Care Group Ministry 2011

The Care Group ministry was formed in January to augment the care that is constantly found in CCB.

However there are times when people have needs and their immediate bible study group or friends are unable to meet that need.  This is where the care group ministry can help.

There several folk in CCB who are willing to give of their time and energy to help others.

There has however, been some confusion as to what the care ministry can do.

  • Visiting the sick and elderly whether at home or in hospital.
  • Lonely visiting – There are a number of elderly folk who have been members of CCB for many years who are no longer able to attend the services for various reasons, but they still would like to know they remain a part of the ministry here.  I think particularly of Ed and Muriel Bean who have passed on to greater things recently.  They were great prayer warriors and it helps people like them to feel they have a contribution to make if they can pray for CCB and its members.
  • Lifts to attend hospital/doctor appointments or shopping.
  • Taking folk to visit loved ones in hospital
  • Preparing or supplying meals
  • Shopping
  • Counseling

On a personal note -  I want to thank all the those who have contributed in any way to the smooth running of this ministry throughout this year.

Prayer Notes 2011

Thank you to all those who have contributed to this ministry in any way throughout this past year.

I would like to use this opportunity to make a couple of requests.

It is very helpful when people keep me informed of the improvement, or otherwise, of the situations we are praying for.  There are times when I have to decide how many requests I can find the space for and have on occasion removed an item only to find out that I was premature in doing so.

Keeping to the Monday evening deadline for requests is very helpful as the prayer notes can then be sent out for use by the groups that meet on a Tuesday.

Please feel free to use my details at the foot of the sheet to send out any urgent requests at any time and I will endeavour to circulate all of the prayer groups as soon as possible.

Thank you for your co-operation in this.

Linda Marsay
